About me

Hello there, I’m Iona! I’m a researcher, designer and practitioner.

I work mainly as an interdisciplinary environmentalist on various regenerative projects focused on restoring ecosystems & re-designing human-centric landscapes.

MY DRIVE.

Generally, I’m driven by my love for our planet and people & my love of creating and exploring life’s endless gifts.

I’m passionate about expanding humanity’s interpretation of what we're capable of achieving personally and communally. I’m incessantly exploring life’s endless supply of knowledge and know how to create new ways for us to live more in tune with nature and each other.

  • my ambition to show what’s possible.

  • my passion for protecting and regenerating Nature.

  • preventing unnecessary natural destruction.

  • the power of people.

  • the beauty of humans harmonising with nature.

  • creativity and science intersecting.

MY WORK.

MISSION WORK

MISSION - To symbiotically harmonise human and natural systems.
WHY - To protect and regenerate our natural resources, in turn to create fruitful and resilient livelihoods.
HOW - Combining creativity and STEM, collaboration and showing the possible.

PURE PLAYFULNESS

Experimenting with lifes wonderous mediums & forms of expression, to:
  1. Convey my perception of life through my art.
  2. Use cognitive understanding of sensorial stimulation to challenge others understanding of life.
  3. Showing innovative solutions to challenge norms.

How i’m addressing the above:

  • ‘MY REAL WORLD WORK’: I’m working at Arup part-time designing landscapes that aim to regenerate natural systems and provide social value.

  • ‘MY DEEP PASSION FOR THE NEED FOR CHANGE’: I’m facilitating the growth of new projects based around the mission of my new organisation, ‘WE REDO’!

  • ‘SELF EXPRESSION & EXPLORATION’: Painting to showcase perceptions, & experimenting with mediums to convey powerful messages about our impact on the planet.

  • ‘TO FREE UP MY BODY’: Playing tennis and nature excursions.
